A: Garden State Apartments is New Jersey’s online apartment rental network uniting renters with landlords, property managers, apartment complexes and realtors. You are free to browse the site, however to get full access to our services, you must complete an online registration. Once completed renters can have direct contact with property and property owners.

2. What makes Garden State Apartments different from other websites?
A: Garden State Apartments rental search is completely free with thousands of up-to-date rental listings with new ones added daily. Our site is easy to use and quickly delivers the information you need. All of our listings include a property’s address and phone number, a detailed description, photographs and floor plan. In addition, renters have the ability to contact property managers directly through our site. Most importantly we have a dedicated staff providing our users with excellent customer service.

3. Is registration free?
A: Our basic services are always free of charge.  However, if you are interested in accessing more private listings and getting additional search tools to help you find the perfect place to live, you can upgrade your membership.  To find out about the latest membership information, click here

A: All of the listings are updated directly from the landlords, managers, and leasing agents. So you receive up-to-date information, with new listings added daily and existing listings updated immediately.

A: In the future, registered users can receive all of the latest updates through our email services.

Although many of our services are free, for global advertising and premium memberships, we accept all major credit cards.  In some approved instances, checks can me made payable to Garden State Apartments, LLC.

A: Yes, once you register with GardenStateApartments.com, you can save your favorite listings through clicking on the “your favorite listings” link which will allow for easy retrieval later on.

11. How can you guarantee that my personal information in secure?
A: Our business is to unify renters with land owners. Garden State Apartments does not share, sell or present your personal information to anyone, unless you ask us to. Please consult our Terms and Conditions for more information.

A: We are committed to providing our users with the best selection of available apartments in New Jersey.  Since you may always continue to be a member of our site at no cost, there is no refund policy. 

14. How important is my credit report? Can I get a guarantor?
A: Many landlords use credit reports to help assess your ability to fulfill the terms of the rental contract. In many instances it is an extremely important aspect of your application.   Click here to learn more.

Some owners may require a guarantor/co-signer with good credit to sign with you. Remember that if you do not pay, you may be damaging your guarantor/co-signers credit rating.

15. Do you have information that can help me with the rental process?
A: Once you have signed up for our service, we will be adding features that will allow you to access information regarding the rental process, moving tips and financial help.

16. How often are your listings updated?
A: Owners, managers, real estate agents, and complexes add new real estate listings to Garden State Apartments everyday in cities all over New Jersey.

17. Can you automatically inform me when you get new listings?
A: In the future, Garden State Apartments email service will allow you to receive information regarding new listings.

Registration Help

18. I am having trouble finishing my registration / activation process, what do I do?
A: If you are having trouble finishing your registration / activation or just receiving emails from us, you can either A) check your "Bulk Mail" folder in your email system, or B) Setup your email system to receive our emails (Whitelisting) by clicking here.

19. What if I forgot my user name or password?
A: For your username, you can refer back to your confirmation email that was sent to you when you registered. If you no longer have the email you may call contact our technical service department for further assistance. If you forget your password, go to the Member Login page and click on Forgot Password. Please submit your email address in the box provided. Your Garden State Apartments password will be emailed to you immediately.

20. How can I change my login information? (user name and password)
A: First log into your account. Once logged in you can manage your account from the toolbar on the top or left of the screen. Choose “Update my Account” and click edit. All changes will take effect immediately.

21. How soon after I register can I start contacting landlords/agents/property managers?
A: You can start contacting landlords/agents/property managers immediately, just start your search.

Searching the Listings

22. How do I search for listings?
A: GardenStateApartments.com offers a variety of ways for you to search for your new home. You can use our interactive map, our quick search, or our advanced search features. In order to receive the largest number of results, we encourage you to first register with our service. One logged on you can begin by clicking on the tenant tab followed by search for an apartment. You have the option of searching by town, city or zip code.

23. I am not familiar with email; do you have other options for me to receive listings?
A: Email is the recommended medium for receiving listing updates.

24. Can I pick very specific neighborhoods?
A: Yes, you can pick very specific neighborhoods. Once you have registered and created an account with our site, you can search more specific areas at any time. You can pick multiple areas in your search profile.

25. Can I have more than one search criteria?
A: You can search by town/city/zip code and then modify your search by more specific attributes from preferred rent to number of bedrooms to pet friendly.

26. I am not receiving any good listings for my area. How can I extend my search?
A: If your search results do not listings matching your needs, the search criteria may be narrowed. Try searching a broader scope of information or try the advanced search feature. If there are still aren’t any posting please check regularly for future updates.

27. How do I unsubscribe from your email updates?
A: To unsubscribe, simply edit your email preferences.

28. How can I deactivate my account all together?
A: Although you already found your new home with us, your account will stay active for your convenience. If you would like your account to be removed from our system, contact our technical services department.

29. I am being emailed the wrong listings for the area I requested. How can I change this?
A: In the future, registered users will be able to receive email notification of their favorite search criteria. If you are receiving emails for the wrong area you edit your email preferences to reflect the city/ neighborhood you are interested in.

30. I am having problems with the website. Certain pages are not loading.
A: If your pages or images are not loading, try selecting the refresh button on your computer. It could be due to a slow connection to the server that is causing the delay. After trying this with no results, contact us so that can assist you further.

A: Yes, all of the information you need is right on each listing. You are able to contact the property owner directly through the posting. Make appointments to view the apartments that seem most attractive to you
