NEWARK - This special meeting was held at our headquarters located in Newark, NJ. We presented an overview of New Jersey's current rental market and identified trends & opportunites that exist in the new markets that are emerging. The presentation was given by Garden State Apartments' CEO, Sunny Kancherla (left). Following Mr. Kancherla's presentation, we had a group of distinguished panelists and experts in the New Jersey real estate market:
Brian Iannarone, MAI, CCIM is a Senior Vice President of the Real Estate Valuation Services department of Wachovia Bank. Wachovia Bank was the largest real estate lender in 2006. Brian currently has a staff that is responsible for overseeing the preparation of appraisals used to support loans for securitization, agency lending (Fannie and Freddie Mac loans) and large construction loans. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute and is a Certified Commercial Member of the National Association of Realtors. Additionally, he holds state appraisal licenses in NJ, NY and CT, is a NJ State Certified Tax Assessor and has an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Christopher Goodson (left) is an attorney, a real estate agent and branch manager/owner of the Bloomfield Branch of Residential Home Funding Corp. Mr. Goodson is also the founder/president of the 1,400+ member New Jersey Real Estate Investment Club.
Ryan Merrit (right)began his career as a Financial Advisor with several leading money management firms both in New Jersey and New York City, most notably UBS Paine Webber. Having had a love of Real Estate, Mr. Merritt then went on to become Sales Manager for Allied Home Mortgage Capital Corp. Allied Home Mortgage is the largest private mortgage banker in the country with approximately $15 billion a year in loan originations. This meeting was held in a more intimate setting than our previous events which allowed for more in-depth discussion with our team as well as other guests. Participants had an opportunity to ask these experts questions about what the near future holds for the market and what they are seeing first hand.
