NEWARK- June 14th, 2007 marked the date of Garden State Apartments’ very first general meeting. The event was hosted by Garden State Apartment’s founder and CEO, Sunny Kancherla, at the Newark Airport Marriott. The topic for the meeting was “NJ Foreclosures- How to Find the Good Deals” and it featured Craig Laube and Joyce Aponte as its speakers.

Craig Laube is founder of American Foreclosures, Inc in 1991. He is also the publisher of American Foreclosures & Auctions Magazine, americanforeclosures.com, njlispendens.com, nylispendens.com and philadelphialispendens.com.

Since obtaining a real estate sales license in the 1980s, Craig has been working exclusively with foreclosures and distressed properties. He opened American Foreclosures Realty in 1997 with Ocean County’s own Joyce Aponte. In 2003, Craig began selling franchise offices. As partner in American Foreclosures Title Agency, LLC and US Mortgage net-branch (both in Parsippany, NJ), Craig has the unique perspective of understanding real estate transactions from each discipline.synop_page3_332

Joyce Aponte has 24 years of Real Estate experience including 19 years of REO experience. A broker since 1985, Joyce is also a member of NRBA (National REO Broker’s Association). As host of “Foreclosure Forum,” radio program heard on WEVD 1050 am in Joyce Aponte has 24 years of Real Estate experience including 19 years of REO experience. A broker since 1985, Joyce is also a member of NRBA (National REO Broker’s Association). As host of “Foreclosure Forum,” aNew York, Joyce reached out to thousands listeners who tuned in weekly to learn the tools and techniques for buying, investing, renovating and selling foreclosures.

In her capacity as Vice President of the Foreclosure Division for VRI Realtors, Joyce has completed thousands of Broker Price Opinions for dozens of banks and Asset Management companies. She has sold hundreds of homes and successfully marketed thousands of foreclosures for her lender clients. As founder of the Foreclosure Rescue Team, a division of VRI Realtors, Joyce and her staff successfully negotiated with lenders on behalf of hundreds of homeowners facing foreclosure. She regularly holds seminars for homeowners at risk to inform, educate, and consult with them about their options.

During the meeting, Craig and Joyce discussedsynop_page4_343 techniques for finding good deals when it comes to foreclosures. They offered advice and answered questions regarding the foreclosure market, how to participate in it, and how to locate local properties. The event ended with networking and discussions concerning the real estate market.
