Two weeks before the big day, you'll need to make a lot of confirmations:
- Contact your bank and/or credit union to transfer or close accounts. Clear out any safety deposit boxes.
- Take out cash for any "on the road" expenses.
- Confirm travel arrangements for pets and family.
- Contact and confirm utilities to be activated at your new residence and deactivated at your previous residence after you make your move.
- Confirm notification of change of residency to all who were first notified of your approaching move date.
- Confirm moving company expected date of arrival if applicable. Confirm help if DIY.
- Confirm use of elevator if in an apartment.
