GardenStateApartments.com was founded in 2005 by Sunny Kancherla (MBA), a real estate professional and licensed NJ broker with nearly 10 years of experience in the industry. Formerly a Credit Manager for Wachovia Bank in New Jersey, Mr. Kancherla underwrote, closed, and managed transactions from $5 million to $250+ million in commercial real estate assets before leaving to found the NJ Apartment MLS.
Growing up in NJ, Mr. Kancherla's background includes being a tenant, landlord, rental agent, property manager, and commercial real estate lender. All of these experiences have allowed him to see the apartment renting process from many different perspectives. And we think this is why our site is so comprehensive and why we are growing so quickly as the Apartment Rental MLS for NJ.
Our team is made up of people just like y  ou. Our staff has marketing professionals, writers, web developers, real estate agents, and investment advisors who have spent their lives as tenants, landlords, agents, and property managers. We have all of these people on staff dedicated to making apartment renting easier for you. Our team has a commitment to the NJ community and has lived in different neighborhoods all over the state.
