NJ Apartments: Going head to head- Craig's list versus GardenStateApartments.com

We are fans of Craig’s list also, but when you put our comprehensive home, shore, and apartment rental system up against theirs... its not even fair. Here are some things you should keep in mind:

craigslist_screen_shot_256 Craigslist

VS.

gsa_screen_shot_256

GardenStateApartments.com

On Craig’s List you will find information that is outdated, or miscategorized.

VS.

Garden State Apartments will tell you how many new listings fit your criteria when you log-in. We will also send daily e-mails on updates in the database, allowing you to keep track of your search. Garden State Apartments gives you a direct list of listings that suit your needs.

On Craig’s List you could spend countless hours searching for information, only to find the same ads

VS.

Garden State Apartments is dedicated to making apartment renting easier for you. Our information is updated regularly, and our system is set up for quick navigation; Search> Click> Rent. As a user, you have complete control over your account allowing you to modify and save your search. This way you can see what you want and when you want it.

Craig’s list is really confusing, and when you actually need to talk to someone about finding an apartment you can’t.

VS.

Garden State Apartments has an excellent customer service department with over 10 years of experience. We are ready to assist you in any way possible. Our users call our office to get more information or assistance with their

accounts.

Craig’s list doesn’t have local renting tips or other information.

VS.

GSA provides information to help renters through the renting process, and we also provide a local directory of resources to find companies and services in your area of NJ to help you move and get settled in.

Craig’s list is too broad and you have to beware of false information.

VS.

At Garden State Apartments we help you find more local places to live. Every apartment listed is for rent, and all the information is reliable because it comes from the source. We gather the information that you need, save your favorites, and even provide driving directions to your destination.

Outside apartment listings, Craig’s list does not actually provide any useful information that is beneficial in the renting process.

VS.

At Garden State Apartments we deal with a wide range of individuals. We work with; tenants, landlords, managers, agents, and complexes. Our customer service team is dedicated to working closely with clients in order to assure that they make the best choices when it comes to renting. Our site also provides important pointers that need to be kept in mind while going through the renting process.

... and the clear winner is GardenStateApartments.com!

Lastly, a word of caution when using Craigslist . . .

You may have heard this before, but here’s some advice when using Craigslist listings: beware of false information!

stressed_man_editted_168Check out what ABC News says about Craiglist's Craig Newmark:

"Newmark still spends about half his 40-hour work week at the Craigslist headquarters... filtering through e-mailed complaints of fraud and investigating potential scams. The vast majority are "bait and switch" scams and other frauds perpetrated by landlords and apartment brokers in New York, the site's largest source of rental listings after San Francisco...the New York section is now so rife with con artists that they may begin charging landlords to discourage illegitimate listings."
